Cappuccino Mix in a Jar

Cappuccino Mix in a Jar

Cappuccino Mix in a Jar

Looking for a unique Gift in a Jar idea? We make this for those that would not like cookies. This is wonderful just mixed with hot water, but it also makes the best Mocha if you mix a little in your coffee.

Ingredients:
1 quart canning jar with band and lid
1/2 teaspoon – ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon – ground nutmeg
1 cup – instant coffee creamer
1/2 cup – Granulated Sugar (we have used sweeteners too)
1 cup – instant chocolate drink powder (or hot chocolate packets)
3/4 cup – instant coffee crystals
1/4 to 1/2 cup – mini chocolate chips (enough to fill remaining space in jar)

Directions:
In small bowl, mix cinnamon and nutmeg with instant coffee crystals
Start layering each item making sure to pack down between layers – sugar, coffee creamer, instant chocolate drink mix, instant coffee mixture
Add chocolate chips to top layer to fill the remaining space in jar
Seal jar tightly, be careful not to shake the jar
Print or write label with the following directions and attach to the jar

To Make Cappuccino:

Slowly dump contents of jar into a large bowl and whisk to combine before pour back into the jar
To prepare a medium mug of Cappuccino, add 3 Tablespoons of the cappuccino mix into a mug with 8 oz. of hot water. Stir well to dissolve mixture.

Top with whipped cream if desired.
