Cooper Kit Subscription Box for Dads + Their Kids {Review}
My readers will know that here in my house, we love subscription boxes! The latest one we had to try out was the Cooper Kit Subscription Box for Dads + Their Kids! It was filled with a ton of educational toys and fun things to learn and build together, including the box it was shipped in!
WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
Just about anything you can imagine. Each Cooper Kit contains multiple curated products and activities designed to enrich your quality time with your children (and have a good time while doing it), as well as:
A shipping box that turns into a toy!
An activity book that guides you through the theme and the contents of the box
A bedtime story
A separate website of related digital resources
Links to even MORE theme-related activities that are ‘Beyond the Box’
Parenting and topical links to resources that are ‘Just for Dad’
A themed dinner menu with recipes (guys are doing a ton of cooking for the family these days)
Ok, that’s a lot of promises to live up to, but we put it to the test. Our box was about music and included pieces needed to build a banjo, an amplifier, a pan flute, hair chalk (to be a rocker), desktop drum set, and more! For this box though, since it’s meant to be for Dads and their kids, we had to hand it over to one of my son-in-laws and his young boys to play with.
I understand my daughter didn’t see any of them for most of the weekend! LOL But she was able to hear them everywhere in the house.
Almost every material was to be used in some way, for the crew to learn about music, rhythm, building skills, team work, following instructions, and so much more. It wasn’t just building a project and being done, but why it works, how it works, and step-by-step involvement between Dad and kids!
I believe the Dad in this case stole took the desktop drum set to work! But the kids still have plenty of homemade musical instruments to keep the house full of noise/music that they are so proud of, because they did it with Dad!
Cooper & Kid is on a mission to make Dads Cooler Than Moms. Impossible some say! They accomplish this with their Cooper Kit, a quarterly subscription box that provides men with a no-brainer, entertaining way to wow and bond with their kids. Every three months, they get a box artfully filled with themed projects that both dads and kids find cool.
Cooper Kits are huge and packed full with building and creativity activities, a bed-time storybook, dinner recipes, a character building discussion topic, lots of humor and more. Even the box turns into a toy!
Cooper Kit: It’s THE subscription for modern dads.
This kit is designed for Dads and their children, ages 5-8, and is meant to be completed probably over a weekend, but could be done in small pieces if needed. You can arrange for a single box, a yearly subscription, or purchase a gift card for someone!
