The Crochet Answer Book {Review}
Do you crochet? I have the basics down and enjoy making things like blankets and pot holders but that is where my skill set ends. So for me, this book was a how to manual on a ton of ways to create gifts for friends and family.
Some of the stitches were new to me, well actually most of them but I really appreciated the left-handed instructions that were also included. This is something that is not always included and for us lefties, leaves us trying to figure things out on our own.
Topics covered include selecting your hook, choosing the right yarn, starting with a solid foundation, how to gauge your stitch count and so many tips on starting or ending your project. All things needed to start or increase your skill set as you craft the hours away.
The Crochet Answer Book: Solutions to Every Problem You’ll Ever Face; Answers to Every Question You’ll Ever Ask is just that..and more. I can’t wait for the physical copy to be released. I know that I will have notes and well-worn pages from using all the directions and patterns.
Book Description: Expected Publication Date: January, 2015
Edie Eckman’s classic Q&A reference is better than ever! You’ll find helpful answers to even more crochet questions, including new questions on broomstick lace, linked stitches, crochet cables, and much more. You’ll also find illustrations for left-handed crocheters; up-to-the-minute information on new internet resources; and an expanded section on unusual techniques like Tunisian crochet. Whatever your level of expertise, you’ll love having Edie Eckman’s expert advice available at the turn of a page!
The Crochet Answer Book will be available on Amazon after February 7, 2015. Check with your local bookstore for more information on ordering a copy for your bookshelves.
I would recommend this book for the newbie and the veteran crochet lover. I think my skill set would be much more advanced had I read this book years ago.
