Day 3…. was spent recovering from Day 2! Aren't vacations great for doing nothing??? A nothing vacation is the vacation of my dreams…not so much for the rest of my crew.
Girls spent the night and played games until the wee hours, I worked overnight and everyone needed to sleep.
So, Day 3 started with breakfast date with hubby (woohoo – we don't get out alone often), visiting with friends while picking up the girls from sleepover and then an afternoon of sweet napping! Naps are wonderful!
Mid week services were extra special because my hubby was in town. We always have pizza following services on Wednesdays. Stop by and worship with us at Summit Church of Christ when in the Northern Kentucky area.
Following services we prepared for our trip to Michigan. I am one of those ladies that does not like to come home from a trip to a full day of work waiting at home. Color me crazy, but we always clean up, empty trash cans, finish laundry and run dishwasher before we leave town. When I arrive home, I have enough to do in getting the vehicle empty, laundry down, suitcases stored and family back on track. I really do not want to come home to a mess left while trying to get out of town. This is actually a long funny story that I will post another day.
One of my paying work is as a Duplicate Bridge Director for BridgeBase.com (BBO) Bridge Base Online is an online venue for playing of course bridge. Everyone laughs when I say that I am being paid to watch other people play cards, but I am. I also run several live games during the week in the local area. Day 2 came to a close with me working from 9pm to 1am and then again from 4am to 6am.
Scheduled departure time was 6:00AM…..
