Disney On Ice Presents Treasure Trove
Remember when I talked about the new Disney On Ice show that was coming to Cincinnati? Well, we attended opening night last night and I can honestly say…the entire crew loved Disney On Ice Presents Treasure Trove! Here are our favorite parts.
Discover endless riches when Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove comes to your hometown! Disney On Ice sets the gold standard with its newest skating spectacular. Get tangled up in Disney’s 50 th animated feature with Rapunzel and Flynn and enter the worlds of your other favorite Disney princesses –Tiana, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mulan and of course, the one who started it all, Snow White. Ahoy, Mateys! Set sail with Peter Pan, the always sassy Tinker Bell and the cantankerous Captain Hook & his pirate pals on an adventure beyond Never Land! Trek the wilds of Africa with Simba, Nala, Pumbaa and Timon as they discover the true meaning of the ‘Circle of Life.’ Tick-Tock! Tick-Tock! Don’t be late to a very important date with Alice & the Mad Hatter as they march with the Queen of Hearts’ Army Of Cards. Be sure to see this show full of memories guaranteed to last a lifetime.
First off, the costumes and makeup on the skaters were amazing! A ton of bright colors, sparkling gemstones, twirling skirts and even a few glow in the dark pieces! It wasn’t just the kids who were staring at the rink, watching as our favorite characters came to life and skated & danced beautifully on the ice.
Whether you’re a fan of the “old school” Disney movies like Peter Pan, Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty or the newer movies like Lion King, Rapunzel, and The Princess and the Frog, you won’t be disappointed.
And the music! I’m not sure who was singing louder at one point, the kids or their parents!! And it sounded a lot like the original movie soundtracks were being used when possible.
The arena was filled with cheering children, clapping adults and a bunch of light up toys, tiaras and other Disney magic pieces which they sell both inside the seating area and out on the walkway. Plus there’s plenty of food options, even if you need to grab dinner like we did while at the show.
Plus we got to watch and laugh at Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy at different parts through the show.
We can’t wait to go back when the next show comes through town. And if you’re local to Cincinnati, you can still buy your tickets; the last show is on Sunday, November 1st!
