Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas is in full swing and will continue through January 3, 2021. This season’s event features more than 5 million lights and the return of indoor entertainment including the guest-favorite Christmas in the Smokies. And let’s not forget the seasonal culinary offerings like the new Blue Ribbon Buffet.
Visit Santa at Dollywood
This year’s event also features 2020’s take on the traditional visit with Santa. With all the changes this year, the “normal” visit with Santa also has to change. But since many families make a visit with Santa at Dollywood part of their special holiday tradition, let’s talk about the new Santa experience waiting for you. This year, you can find out if you are on Santa’s Naughty or Nice List.
Wondering what Santa has been up to this year?
Perhaps you have been wondering what the Jolly Old Elf is up to this year. Dollywood is shining a little light on Old Saint Nick’s home away from home. When he isn’t hard at work at the North Pole, Santa likes to visit East Tennessee and his favorite Smoky Mountain songstress, Dolly!
See inside Santa’s cabin
Thanks to this brand-new experience, you can literally see inside Santa’s cabin in the Smokies. He is busy making and checking his list on who has been naughty or nice. Kids (young and old) can discover whether their name is on the naughty or nice list. And don’t forget to have a photo photo made as you are peering through the window during this once-in-a-lifetime chance to catch Santa at work.
In this video, Bernard who is one of the elves that traveled with Santa to Dollywood shares what this experience will be like visiting Santa.
If you are planning on visiting Dollywood this holiday season, make sure to purchase tickets in advance and confirm hours or other restrictions on their website. This really sounds like a fun way to continue the tradition of a visit with Santa. And if you share your photos on social media, make sure to tag us (simplysherryl) and use hashtags #Dollywood #SantaExperience. We would love to see your photos from the Santa Experience.
