Elk’s Resolve {Review}
Elk’s Resolve is book two in the five book series called Nan’s Heritage Series. In this book, the main character struggle with hatred, fear, and loss.
I found the book to be a tough emotional read but an awesome faith read. The main character, Elk is trying to escape his past and the pain he has suffered. He ends up finding love and forgiveness.
Elk, who is known as the White Indian feels that he is guided by the hand of God. He reaches out to a family in need. The story that develops was at times hard to keep reading because of the painful heartbreak of the characters.
The shining light is of course the faith in the lives of the characters. Life often deals us a really bad hand, some far worse than others. God however, is always there for us. It might take the “stranger” that we offer to help to be the one to break through and touch our hearts.
Author Elaine Littau weaves a vivid story and includes beautiful faith building references to scripture. I would recommend this book for the mature reader. It would be too upsetting for most younger readers.
Elk’s Resolve is available on Amazon in print or Kindle format.
