Fall/Thanksgiving Decorating Roundup
If you’re like me, you still have decorations from Halloween up around the house. Luckily for me (us), many of these also fit the “Fall/Thanksgiving” theme so they aren’t too out of place. But with Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I went on the hunt for a few quick DIY Fall/Thanksgiving decorating ideas to get my house ready!
I am in love with this Easy Fall Candle Centerpiece by Albion Gould! She tells you step by step how to turn glass candle holders into awesome centerpieces, perfect for any meal or table! I especially love the glitter and small sticks on the far left candle.
This is a terrific Orange Sweater Wreath (using the sleeve of a sweater folks!) by Crafts’n’Coffee with burlap roses that you make yourself! I think this would be terrific on the front door, or even on the wall during the whole fall and Thanksgiving season.
This Felt & Paper Twist Door Turkey from Little Miss Celebration is a must have. I love the turkey, don’t you? Plus he’s asking if we have pie, which we will of course! I think the different textures and materials really make him the perfect decoration, whether hanging on the wall, the door, or even set up in the center of the food table.
I’m always looking at ideas from Simply {Darr}ling and I’ve been wanting to try one of her table runners she posts for almost every holiday or season. This DIY Fall Table Runner would work well on my dining room table and it would work for the entire season, not just one holiday. And she explains how to adjust the measurements for your particular needs.
Who says you can’t have sparkle for fall and Thanksgiving? Sparkle Living gives us a step by step tutorial to make a Sparkly Autumn Leaf Wreath; I think I may “shrink” it down and use it to go around my candles on the dinner table. It looks like it may take some time, especially the bigger size wreaths, but I love the finished product.
What a quick craft to make for the house, especially with company coming! Robyn’s Online World shows readers how to fill the mason jar with natural items from the yard, toss in a few extra pieces for color, then cover the lid in burlap so you can spray it with air freshener for extra scent! I’m in her debt for learning about the Pine Cone Mason Jar Centerpieces!
Pumpkin and fall colors, oh yeah, this would be a whole fall season item up at my house, all the way to Christmas decorations! This Button Pumpkin Door Sign is another creation by Little Miss Celebration and it’s sure to be a hit. Your older kids can even help and you can make this as big or as small as you want. Maybe even on a name card for dinner?
Another awesome example of a table runner, just in time for friends and family to take over your home. Sparkle Living shares her instructions with pictures on how to make this Autumn Leaf Stenciled Table Runner. I want to do one with a rust colored fabric and maybe gold leaves? I can’t wait to get started.
Beautiful crafts for a beautiful season. Thanks so much for including the Sweater Wreath from CraftsnCoffee.com. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
