Family Friendly Places to Stay in Panama City Beach
When I think vacation…I think Florida. Mainly because I grew up there but I tell you there is something special about living the South that you can’t shake off – no matter how far or how long you are gone. My husband says that within three days of being on the sandy shores I have reverted back to my Southern Drawl. I don’t think so, but he thinks it is cute.
We have special places that we like to visit on each side of the state. The West or Gulf Coast is Panama City Beach. This little tucked away place is a jewel and once you discover all it has to offer you will be booking your next trip before you ever checkout of the resort.
Yes, Panama City Beach is a hot spot for college spring break and I would probably suggest not planning a visit on that ONE WEEK out of the year..there are 51 other weeks to spend in this glory land on the beautiful Gulf.
For our family, the Panama City Beach area just calls out to families. Most of the locations are open to larger families and some even encourage families like ours to visit.
Personally, when we visit beach areas, our favorite places are all right on the sand. This makes it nice that you are not having to get in and out of the vehicle all day. Our older crew can go off and entertain themselves while the younger ones have the pool and activity centers to run around in and get worn out.. did I mention that I love nap time while on vacation? Yes..nap time is the second most favored time of the day for me while traveling with little ones.. comes a close second to bedtime!
According to several recommendations of friends that spend every summer vacation in Panama City Beach, the top kid friendly beach resort for families with children of all ages is the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort. This is followed closely by the Palmetto Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Resort, and the Marriott’s Legends.
These locations all offer special accommodations for families from larger rooms to meal deals and planned activities. I attended a conference at the Marriott and have plans to spend several days at the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort late this fall. From all that I have heard, I can’t wait to take my crew to the area and just relax and enjoy the time together.
The Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort is located right on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach, Fla. They offer lots of amenities, on site restaurants, inside and outside water slides as well as family activities sure to keep everyone entertained. This location sounds perfect for my crew and they are counting the days until we pack up and hit the beach.
If you would like more information about the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort, give them a call at (850) 234-2154 or shoot them an email at: info@sandpiperbeacon.com
Maybe we will see you in April on the sandy beaches of Panama City!
