Fervent Prayers

Throughout the Scriptures we are told to pray. Prayer has always played an important part of the examples shown to us throughout history.

James 5:16 reads: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Fervent prayers..what are fervent prayers? According to Wikipedia, fervent means: Exhibiting particular enthusiasm, zeal, conviction, persistence, or belief.

So then our prayers should be the same. Agreed? But where do we start?

I recently read a book written by Priscilla Shirer titled, Fervent. In this book, the author addresses how women can develop their battle plan for serious, specific, and strategic prayer.

She discusses areas that most women have vulnerabilities that can be used by Satan against us and how to secure those areas so we are able to withstand the temptation in order to have a more fulfilling prayer life.
