A trend I’ve been following for the last few years has been the different fashion bags everyone seems love! I admit, I have a few of my own favorites in a variety of colors, patterns and styles too. So when I find a source that not only hand makes their bags, but even offers some custom work, I want to share it with everyone! Let me tell you about a company called Georgia Totes.

We personally cut and hand sew our eco-friendly products right here in the USA. Georgia Totes owner Mary McKinney chooses the fabrics and patterns that she knows her customers will love.

I love that Georgia Totes is a small business. So many chains are offering their bags, but honestly, I’d rather order from them and know that I’m getting a hand made product and even have it personalized if I want to.

They offer a number of products, and not just for women either, but for men and kids even. Items such as:

• Cross body bags

The totes are great to toss in a few books or a craft project when you are heading out for the day with the kids. And the cross body bags make a great work bag or even as a diaper bag (even for Dads depending on the print). I like that customers can order matching sets of items to coordinate their pieces together.

Another wonderful service is her custom embroidery work she offers. You can either get a monogrammed initial on a tote or makeup bag, or purchase one of her custom pieces on the website!

I really like the other custom order she offers on the website for gifts and special occasions. Let’s say you need gifts for your bridesmaids; you can work with the owner to coordinate the colors of the material with your wedding/theme and even have the ladies’ initial embroidered on the front! What a wonderful and touching gift; these would also be perfect to celebrate a special event like a family vacation or as gifts for the holidays.

I ordered the blue and white makeup bag with one of my daughter’s initial on it. The bag is perfect to toss into the suitcase to go out of town or even in your purse, to keep all of your makeup and hair supplies contained! I was surprised at how roomy it feels and it can definitely hold a lot of stuff. Plus, it’s all the more special because it was personalized just for her.

And it also came with this sweet orange and white stuffed heart. These aren’t for sale on the website that I can tell, but they are totally adorable!
