Green Tea Konjac Sponge {Review}
Taking care of your skin is important, no matter the time of year; but during the winter, my skin can get so dry in the cold air that I take extra steps to keep it moisturized and clean. I’ve recently discovered this Green Tea Konjac Sponge that really does the trick!
How does Konjac Sponge work?
Konjac Sponge has a unique propriety layer that can hold water very well. When the sponge is saturated with water, its surface is covered by a water layer. This water layer on the sponge’s surface constantly acts as a buffer to the skin and the layer forms a barrier between the sponge and the skin. As a result, the skin is never in direct contact with the fiber and it will not scratch and damage the skin even with hard scrubbing.
Benefits of the Japanese Konjac Sponge:
Thoroughly cleanses skin pores
Removes dead skin cells, blackheads, dirt & oil
Hydrates skin & balances pH
Eliminates excess sebum
Gently exfoliates skin
100% natural, sustainable & bio-degradable
No toxic & harmful chemicals
Animal & cruelty free
GMO Free
Excellent for all skin types including sensitive skin
Suitable for everyone from babies, women and men
This sponge comes in a compact package, so I was a little curious at first how this was supposed to work exactly. But, I read the directions and watched the instructional video and all was well. Once it’s soaked, it expands much larger than the original size!
The green tea formula means it’s suitable for oily and combination skin like mine, and with the gentle exfoliation, my skin looks fresh and clean after every use. You can use your favorite cleanser with it or use it alone. I’ve used it both ways and I find that I use less cleanser when I do use any because I feel like the sponge itself does a great job at cleaning.
Personally, I like the fact that it’s made from a plant so it’s natural, plus there are no chemicals and it’s bio-degradable! Trying to live a little greener lifestyle is made easier by products like this Konjac sponge.
Plus, the company that makes this green tea Konjac sponge makes a bunch of other styles, including mint, citrus, and cherry blossom! Make sure you read over the details of each one, because it appears that some are better suited for certain skin types.
