I’ve heard all my life that it is often the “Little Things” that make or break us. For me, not being able to find my keys seems to just push the right button to cause a stressdown (Mom’s are too mature for meltdowns) ~ Like my new word?
Now add to this that everyone is usually loaded in the van waiting on me or that we are running late…oh my word..this just spins me right up. So after having to pray for forgiveness and joy on more than a few occasions; I found a key rack (that just happens to also have a mail slots) to hang in the kitchen.
Problem solved…as long as the keys get hung up AS SOON AS I WALK IN THE DOOR..they should be there waiting the next time they are needed. This also provided a solution to the mail that arrives for the older, now married children.
Here is one that I saw on Amazon…maybe…my mind is racing along with all the ideas this could be used for at home. Wait – the one I have solves the problem..simply…go with it!
For larger families (we only have two currently living at home)…now this would be wonderful!
I am all about trying to keep things simple. Does it work? Is my life simple? Not by a long shot…but I keep trying. When I find a “Little Thing” that makes a HUGE difference in my life; It makes me smile and know that it can be done.
How about you…
Are there any ” little things” that have made life easier?

I’ve tried designating a spot for my keys, such as a bowl; but I have not been consistent about using it, especially when I’m tired or distracted.
I use post it notes. Not that it helps much. I always misplace them.
i have a massive sticky note collection…lol
we have a few hooks to hang our keys on

I have a decorative keyholder next to my door but I still misplace my keys every now and then!
One thing that made my mother’s life easier, like keys, was a lanyard. She now keeps her keys on a lanyard that is hooked to her purse. The keys are never free to land wherever they want to.
This is funny because men never know where their keys are if their not hanging on their belt hook. I have a key holder on the wall but not all the keys go up there. Mostly they just get thrown on the table or where ever. Mine go in my pocketbook : )
love that to keep me organized
i used to lose my keys all the time! i never remembered if i set them on the dresser, counter, in my purse, diaper bag, or in my pocket lol i even locked the keys in the car a couple of times. them my husband has a bunch of keys so like you i found a key holder and we use i tall the time!!! I have maybe lost my keys once in the last 3 months. def am easy buy and well worth the money!!!
I have a key/chalkboard/cork board right by the door. It’s the only way I can ever remember to bring my shopping list with me. 🙂
I put a bowl next to my door for my keys only problem is I never use it…. ha
