Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

These are the cutest things to make! Very simple and the little ones love being able to pick up their cake and eat it.

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Ingredients:
24 Flat Bottom ice cream cones
1 box white cake mix (with the items needed to make according to package)
Sprinkles or frosting as desired for tops

Directions:
~ Prepare cake according to package directions
~ Stand ice cream cones in muffin pan and fill with 1/4 cup of batter (fill to line inside cone)
~ Bake at a 350 for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean
~ Remove cupcake from muffin pan and allow to cool completely (I stand them together in a shallow baking pan to help keep upright)
~ Frost and decorate as desired (we like them plain – or will use cool whip when ready to eat and serve with bowls of toppings so everyone can make their own)

Makes 24 cupcakes

I love making these. Once I tried making them upside down, according to a recipe, you put the batter in the muffin pan, and then the cone on top. They came out lopsided, and I would say only do it this way! Fun to decorate these!

I’ve always wanted to try and make these. They seem like they’d be pretty easy to make.

I’ve seen a fresh resurgence of these recently and it makes me reminisce about when I was young! My Mom used to make these quite frequently when I was a little girl… glad to see them finally coming back! Thanks for sharing!
