Idahoan Mashed Potatoes {Review}
We love mashed potatoes in my house. Sure, I’d love to have the time to make them by scratch every time, but it’s just not happening. So I’m glad that I’ve found Idahoan Flavored Mashed Potatoes, with a number of varieties to choose from, no matter what we’re eating for dinner!
Recently, we had the opportunity with Wendy’s Bloggers to try several flavors of Idahoan mashed potatoes. Here’s what we received:
- 4 pouches Idahoan Buttery Homestyle
- 4 pouches Idahoan Four Cheese
- 4 pouches Idahoan Loaded Baked
- 4 pouches Idahoan Baby Reds
- 4 pouches Idahoan Roasted Garlic
- 1 deck custom Idahoan playing cards
- 1 Idahoan branded premium soup bowl/cup
We decided to use the Idahoan Buttery Homestyle flavor to make Buttery Garlic Seasoned Mashed Potatoes.
Ingredients:
- 1 4-oz package Buttery Homestyle Flavored Mashed Potatoes
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 2 Tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Heat water to boiling on stovetop or in microwave safe cup
2. In a medium bowl, combine everything else and slowly pour boiling water over mixture
3. Stir with fork until combined (do not over stir)
These were delicious served along with my pulled pork! And so easy to make, ready to serve to my family in a matter of minutes. I loved that I could put a bowl of hot mashed potatoes on the table without having to spend all my time peeling, boiling, mashing and seasoning! We also made Bacon Bombs and Mashed Potato Puffs!

Potatoes. I’m not a fan of using instant potatoes but I suppose I might give it a try. They have so many different yummy kinds.
