I’ve found “sneaky” ways to get my family to eat more vegetables as a part of their daily diet. Sometimes I blend them and add them into pasta sauce or sloppy joe mix. Plus if I cut up fruit or veggies and have a healthy dip available, they are gone like hot cakes! But we eat a lot of pasta, and unless I want to make a healthier version for us, I need to find an alternative.
That’s where the iFit Spiral Slicer comes into play. You insert your fruit or vegetable, turn it with your hand against the blades, and that’s it! You have long beautiful ribbons of fresh fruit and veggies! These are great to use as a pasta replacement, or to make fancy salads, or even garnish a platter or soup!
There are two different size blades so you can choose how large your “pasta” comes out. And it includes a safety cap for added protection for your fingers, especially as you get towards the end of the vegetable into the slicer.
We’ve had a lot of fun trying different vegetables. Some we like to peel and some we just leave them alone. They should be firm but ripe. Any mushy spots tend to gunk up the slicer.
As far as cleaning, you can rinse it out and wash on the top rack of the dishwasher. Plus it includes a brush for any pieces that might get stuck under the blade.
You can purchase your own iFit Spiral Slicer through Amazon!
What vegetable would you slice up first?

This looks great on the video. Anything that gets my kids eating more fruit and vegetables is a good thing.
