Jadore VoxBox {Review}
Disclosure: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. All opinions are honest and completely my own.
So many of my readers know the “fight” that breaks out among the teenagers in my house when the highly anticipated Influenster VoxBox comes in the mail, and this month’s #JadoreVoxBox was no exception! This month, it was a Valentine box (which was pink!) filled with wonderful goodies that quickly got passed out among the ladies of the house. Here’s a breakdown of the contents and the opinions of each item.
HERSHEY’S® KISSES® Milk Chocolates ($5.29 for 18.5 oz bag)
Chocolates? Yes please. No one does milk chocolate like Hershey’s, and the Valentine’s Day color wrapped kisses were an immediate hit! Kisses are a great treat day or night. Just pull the paper tag and the colored foil will start to unwrap, revealing the delicious and irresistible milk chocolate delight!
Vaseline® Men Spray Lotion ($7.99 for 6.5 oz. can)
Lotion in a spray can; you know the sunscreen cans that we go through every summer? This is like that, but in a “manly” formula. My husband sprayed this on, rubbed it in quickly, and I wouldn’t have known he used lotion in a can if I hadn’t seen him apply it. It wasn’t greasy at all, had a very pleasant scent, and the dry skin was gone. Definitely a keeper; plus my husband was thrilled he got to have something from the box since most of the time it’s girly goodness LOL!
KISS Looks So Natural Lashes ($3.99)
I’ll be completely honest here, I don’t wear false lashes. I’m a mascara girl all the way. Now, in saying that, these lashes do look great and very natural, all the way down to the tapered ends! I struggled getting these to look right on me BUT that was probably due to my inexperience with fitting and applying lashes. I think for $3.99, these are a great deal for women who wear them. The package also says they are contact lens friendly which is a wonderful bonus.
Frizz Ease® 3-Day Straight™ Flat Iron Spray ($9.99 for 3.5 fl. oz.)
This was a much fought over bottle in the house since both teenagers (and some of their adult sisters) use a flat iron almost daily! With this spray, you squirt 7-15 pumps into your hand, run through damp or wet hair, and comb through. Now, some ladies will need more or less depending if you have any curl to your hair or if it’s super thick (lucky). The product worked like a champ, though it was used up quickly since hair gets washed daily in this house. As a side bonus, it smells wonderful too.
Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask ($9.39)
I love clay masks so this was MINE all mine. This is a looser type of mud mask compared to what I’m used to using, but it did leave my face very soft after I used it. I didn’t necessarily notice a difference in what I call the dry spots on my face but I run on the combination side of skin with oily and dry spots all at the same time. The mud went on easy and it only stays on for about 10 minutes. Overall I’d use it again or recommend it to my girlfriends.
Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas ($4.49 for carton of 20 tea bags)
If you’re a fan of flavored black tea, then you should give this brand a try. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Lemon Chiffon, but in the spirit of full disclosure, I don’t care for lemon in general. However, I am a caramel fan and I found the Creme Caramel to be wonderful. I enjoyed mine with a little sweetener and some milk and it was almost like having a dessert without having to worry about the calories. Perfect! The package suggests a 3-5 minute steep time, and I let mine just stay in the cup until I drank it all.
