Jonah – Sight and Sound Theatre #ExploreBranson
*I received complimentary tickets to see JONAH at the Sight & Sound Theatre in Branson, MO to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.
One of the highlights of our Branson blog tour was being invited to see Jonah at the Site & Sound Theatre. I think my mouth was open in shock and awe for most of our visit. I was enthralled and amazed. I grew up hearing the story of Jonah; but seeing it in this setting made it so real.
Awe struck doesn’t being to describe how I felt. I didn’t know where to look first. The combination of special effects, costumes, and lighting had my head spinning. They even had live animals that were walking through the audience! The set was a three sided, multi-dimensional design that had sea creatures and Jonah swimming over our seats. I understand it was years in the building of the sets, and I can understand why with all the movement and intricate details.
The story of Jonah was told in a combination of musical performances and filmed presentation. It would be great to see with your entire family. Sight and Sound Theatres really do bring the Bible to life in their presentations.
If your travel plans bring you to Branson, make sure to book your seats for this Sight & Sound Theatre production. If you have little ones that might have a hard time remaining seated or quiet during a long production, they have a couple of enclosed rooms where child movement or noises would not distract other guests and you can still hear and see the production.
For more information on this and other productions, connect with the Sight & Sound Theatre on their Website, Facebook and on YouTube.
I would like to thank the Branson Convention and Visitors Bureau, US Family Guide, and all the participating merchants for this trip. It was an amazing trip!
