Katazoom Wall Decals {Review}

Have you ever been to someone’s house who had some of those awesome wall decals? Maybe it was a neat personalized family graphic with their name and the year they were “established”; or maybe a great Scripture verse? Well I have and I always want to order a bunch to put up around my house! So when I was asked to do my own product review on Katazoom Wall Decals, I couldn’t wait to pick something out! Actually, the hard part was only picking one to start and not something for every wall in my home.

In my house, we spend a lot of time in the kitchen or around the dining room table. So I thought the “Stressed is Desserts Spelled Backwards” decal was perfect! I picked the size I wanted, and then the color I wanted the lettering to be (blue of course), and that was all. When the package arrived, I admit I got a little intimidated by the page long set of application instructions. But once I read through them, it seemed to make perfect sense.

• Get your “tools” gathered (yard stick, pencil, credit card, etc)
• Wipe down your wall or surface
• Rub over the graphic with your credit card (wakes up the adhesive, who knew?)
• Position where you want the graphic to be placed and tape the top down
• Peel away the backing paper
• Rub again against the wall with the credit card
• Slowly peel away the transfer tape

And that’s it!

Okay, so to be completely honest, I found I had to tweak this a little to get the job done. Nothing major, no complaints at all, just things I learned as I was going along. I used my credit card as the instructions told me to, but, I found that using my kitchen sink scraper worked much better at scraping than the card. Also, a little heat from the hair dryer seemed to help in the process. Don’t get me wrong, maybe I only needed this extra help because of my wall or the temperature, etc. But it’s what worked for me to get this great decal on my wall!
