Do you sharpen your own knives? I usually have mine done by someone else.  The last thing I need is to slice open my hand while trying to sharpen a knife.

When we received this product I was a little worried about using my good knives in it. I tried it with our older knives that well, struggle to cut warm butter. Wow.. This sharpening system had those babies as sharp or even sharper than we we bought them.

This unit adheres to the counter top with suction cup action on the bottom. It isn’t going anywhere!

The system uses a two step method for sharpening. 

Step 1: Coarse sharpening is for blunt and ceramic knives.
Step 2: Fine honing is for sharpening the edge to maximum sharpness.

I found this system to be easy to use and safe on my ceramic knives. A word of caution here about safety with sharp knives. If you have little ones please keep the knives out of reach and not in a drawer that they can open.
