Little Chief {Book Review}
Little Chief by Toni Danette is certainly a book adults as well as kids can easily relate to if they have ever struggled with self-esteem issues.
The story is about a little boy that wets the bed and has to wear a diaper, which obviously would prevent friends from staying or his attending any sleepovers. His parents are concerned for his safety and make him wear a child leash because he is so energetic and full of curiosity.
Add to this that he is afraid of dogs, gets sick when riding in a car, boat or on amusement park ride, and that he is on the chunky side makes his life tough. People pick on him because he sucks his thumb and stutters.
Well as with all children, Little Chief does eventually grow up and out grows his childhood troubles.
This book was a quick wonderful read. What a great story to use as a springboard to talks in how to treat others as we would want to be treated.
You can pick up a copy of Little Chief on Amazon in both Kindle and Paperback formats.
