Lumo Project The Gospel of Luke

The Gospel of Luke is the third book in the New Testament and in the Lumo Project. It comes to life for the first time with a truly unique, word-for-word adaptation that uses the New International version of the gospel as the script. I have to say that watching the scripture being acted out is so different from just reading or listening to it. For me, it helps with retention of details.

The Lumo Project has undertaken this challenge and their goal is to film the original Jesus narrative to the screen using the Gospel text as its script, word for word. Shooting of this film was done on location in Morocco with consultation from expert theologians and biblical scholars.

 

The Gospel of Luke project is being produced by the Lumo Project and has been awarded the Dove Faith Friendly Seal for films rated for ages 12+.

The Gospel of Luke, more than any other, fits the category of ancient biography. Luke, as “narrator” of events, sees Jesus as the “Savior” of all people, always on the side of the needy and the deprived. Narrated in the NIV by British actor Richard E. Grant and in the KJV by Sir Derek Jacobi, this epic production — featuring specially constructed sets and the authentic countryside of Morocco — has been critically acclaimed by leading religious scholars as a unique and highly authentic telling of the Jesus story.

I have enjoyed watching this DVD several times. It is a great teaching tool for both yourself and others. It would make a great tool for a personal study or a small group setting.

Because of the way the story of the Gospel is presented, it can be shared with both believers and that you are hoping to share the story of Christ with in your contact circle of friends. It is done is a way that is non confrontational, meaning the story and message speak for itself. All you have to do is share it with others.
