May the Faith Be with You

May the Faith Be with You

Getting our children to spend time in the Word is more important now than ever. They need to read and understand what the scriptures have to say and just counting on them getting what they need in Sunday School doesn't cut it. We recently received a bible in the mail that struck an interest in one of our little ones. It was the May the Faith Be with You Bible. And no while it isn't about Star Wars, it does have a lot to offer younger readers.

May the Faith Be with You:

Life in the Spirit isn’t about cushioned pews and easy living—it’s about adventure, risk, daring, and the pursuit of wisdom. It’s about letting the awesome power of God work through you to do things you never thought possible.

In this brand-new full-text Bible, you’ll learn the highest, truest, and most rewarding way to a life of wisdom, apprenticing with the Ultimate Master himself—Jesus Christ.

Features include:

  • 24 full-color pages of content on the marvel of God’s creation and the meaning of faith
  • Vibrant outer space imagery
  • Compelling, metallic-embellished cover
  • The complete text of the New International Reader's Version (NIrV) of the Bible

The Bible is intended for ages 6-10. Personally, I don't care for the NIRV for my studies, I will admit it is a version that children find easier to read. I think it is important for them to be able to understand and read the scriptures on their own. We can discuss the topics more if they don't understand something.

I do like some of the special pages as they pull sections or verses together that you would need if you were doing a topical study.

Master Moments: Here is where you will learn about amazing people and events in the Bible.
Ways of Wisdom: Got a big Bible question? This is the place to go for answers.
Use the Force: Ready to apply what you have learned for good? These pages help you to apply what you've learned in the Bible to your life.

If you have a younger reader (6-10 years), they might find this bible something they would enjoy reading and learning more about God. I am thrilled that ours thinks this is such a neat bible and has been picking it up to read.

This Bible is published by Zondervan and is available on Amazon in both Kindle and Hardcover versions.

Don't have a Kindle? Grab one for yourself. They are so nice to use for reading. I love my Kindle Fire and my little one uses the e-Reader version (just for reading without the added games and internet options).
