Meet A Friend Friday
I am so pleased to be able to introduce you to another great fellow blogger from 1 Heart 1 Family! Please welcome Jenn from 1 Heart 1 Family to Simply Sherryl! She's answered my questions, but if you are curious about more, leave your questions below and I'm sure she'll come by and answer them too!
1. Tell us a little bit about your blog:
1 Heart, 1 Family is a family friendly site that focuses on the ups and downs of parenting, life with Celiac Disease, and amazing product reviews.
2. How long have you been blogging and what do you love about it?
I began blogging a month after my daughter was born in 2011. Unfortunately, due to severe illness, it was put on the back burner for a year. In 2012, a good (blogger) friend encouraged me to return to blogging and it has been my passion ever since! What I love about blogging, is the chance to share my parenting tips and woes, to show others they are not alone in the scary world of parenting! I have meet many amazing bloggers who have become great friends and had some amazing opportunities to test great new products!
3. Who is the person or group behind the blog?
I am a working mom who loves being a MOM! I am married to my university sweetheart and best friend, whom I love dearly. I have a degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University, but currently work as a mail carrier. I am mother to two boys (age 6 and 4) and a beautiful baby girl (1 year old). Growing up I always knew that I wanted to be a mother and it is so much more than I imagined!
4. What hobbies/interests do you have?
My favorite thing to do is take my children to family friendly events! I love watching them experience new things. When the kids are in bed, my creative side takes flight! I am a novice knitter who loves knitting stuff toys. I love to dabble in cooking (although I am known to burn water! oops!) and I use gluten free baking a great way to relieve stress.
5. What is your favorite topic to write about?
My favorite topic to write about is…you guessed it my KIDS! I love sharing positive and negative experience we go through!
6. What advice would you give to new bloggers?
My advice to new bloggers is JUST DO IT! You have to thrown caution to the wind and do what you love!! The more passion you put into it the more you get out of it. It also helps to connect with other bloggers. Don't view them as your competition but rather allies in a common battle!
7. Do you use a blogging planner and if so, which one? Why?
lol! My blogging planner is Sticky Notes on my computer! My desktop is covered with them! One of my goals for 2013 is to get organized and invest in a blogger planner!

11. Is there anything else you would like to share?
I love what I do! I'm not perfect and I know it, but I put all my advice out there with my whole heart with the hopes that I will brighten someone's day or help them through a difficult situation!
