Mezzetta Makes Hosting Game Day Easy

Mezzetta Makes Hosting Game Day Easy

Mezzetta Makes Hosting Game Day EasyWhile I am not a glued to the screen football mom, I am game for hosting a party for the big one! This year we are having a game day party with a large group of friends and I have found three dishes that are so simple and yet so delicious that they will be on our menu throughout the year!

The most important part of any game day party planning is keeping it easy. I love dishes that can be made with less than 5 ingredients – and if they are dump recipes; all the better.

Mezzetta peppers are my favorite. They are wonderfully seasoned and ready to use right out of the jar.

Mezzetta is a family owned since 1935, the fourth generation of Mezzetta family is continuing the commitment to bring our customers the highest quality foods available. We source the finest fresh produce from the sun-drenched soils of California, Italy, Spain, France, and Greece and prepare them according to our Italian family recipes at our state-of-the-art production facility in the Napa Valley.

One of my dishes for our game day party will be a Roasted Pepper Bruschetta which only requires three ingredients!

Roasted Pepper Bruschetta

To make this quick and easy Roasted Pepper Bruschetta, gently pulse feta cheese and Mezetta Roasted Red Peppers in a food processor. Spread over toasted bread rounds and top with finely diced Mezetta Roasted Red Peppers.

Another quick dish is our Goat Cheese &Red Pepper Stuffed Peppers which is also a three ingredient wonder!

Goat Cheese &Red Pepper Stuffed Peppers

This chilled finger food only needs goat cheese, Mezetta Roasted Red Peppers and fresh baby sweet peppers. Slice peppers in half and fill with a blended goat cheese and Mezetta Roasted Red Peppers mixture. Goat cheese is so soft you can blend with the back of a fork or pulse gently in a food processor.

And of course you can't have a game day party without dip. Our Roasted Red Pepper Dip is out of this world and can be whipped up in a hurry with – again three ingredients!

Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Grab a bag of your favorite chips and place around your dip bowl. Combine a jar of (drained) Mezetta Roasted Red Peppers and a jar of (drained) Mezetta Sliced Golden Greek Peperoncini with a block of your favorite soft cheese. I like to warm in the microwave before blending with the food processor.

Half time is a great time to fill up on something a little more substantial and our Pepper Pot Roast makes the perfect sliders or wraps. Combine a pot roast with a jar of (undrained) Mezetta Roasted Red Peppers and a jar of (undrained) Mezetta Sliced Golden Greek Peperoncini in your slow cooker and let it simmer away for 6-8 hours on low. If you have a pressure cooker, 10 lbs of pressure for 45 minutes is all it takes.

Oh my gosh. You have totally inspired me. I love roasted red peppers, but haven’t had in forever. I am going to add to my shopping list and make for the football game this weekend. Yum.

Those stuffed peppers look good. I usually just use cream cheese to stuff peppers, may give that recipe a try.
