Mobile Gaming in the USA
Any wonder why mobile gaming is growing at such a rapid pace? Everyone you see has their head bent over their mobile device!
In a recent report eMarketer published the total of US mobile gamers was 121 million in 2013. By the end of 2014, that number is expected to exceed 141 million! This represents approximately 44 percent of the population in the US.
With numbers like that, there no doubt that mobile gaming is the fastest growing of all digital gaming categories.
Of course the launching evolution of mobile gaming has clearly been powered by the rise in available mobile devices.
Today’s chart by Statista displays the increase in US gamers.
For me, I have an android phone and tablet but each has a game that I like the best. This is simply a preference of screen sizes.

I am definitely a victim of this along with my daughter! Everywhere I go, I see people on their phones! It’s crazy! My mom tells me I remember when we didn’t have cell phones and I just laugh because I can’t imagine it! I love to play Words with Friends and Hanging with Friends!

I definitely agree that gaming is on the rise! I’m so behind the times, heheh. I don’t really game. Thought I think everyone else I know does. Guess I need to get in on this trend!
