If you’re ever in Gatlinburg on the parkway, you should stop to check out No Way Jose’s Cantina for some good food, great atmosphere and a fun time!
At No Way Jose’s our goal is for you to become refreshed and escape into a relaxing Mexican meal. You will sit surrounded by bright tropical colors, listen to festive music, and eat fabulous, authentic Mexican food voted Best Mexican Food in Sevier County. Our fresh flavors bring new life to your taste buds! From made-fresh-daily soups & salsas to our famous steak, chicken & shrimp fajitas served sizzling hot and piled high with the freshest onions and red & green peppers, all sautéed just right.
The location is Gatlinburg is on the same property as the Ripley’s Aquarium so it’s easy to find. But parking can be tricky, depending on the season and time of day (there’s a nearby garage within walking distance just in case). As I walked in the door with my family, we were immediately greeted by the hostess, and then surrounded by lights and colors! I don’t mean like a club, but colorful paintings, decorations, t-shirts, lit signs and more! We were seated quickly and started to cruise through the menu to see who wanted what (and who would be willing to share!).
It didn’t take long to order our lunch and the server was helpful and answered our questions since it was our first visit. I imagine it could get loud especially late or during peak times, but for lunch on a Friday, the noise level was comfortable. We munched on chips and salsa while we waited for our food to be served. And here’s a break down of what we got:
- Pepe’s Fresh made Cilantro Lime Sauce Enchilada : Stuffed full of shredded chicken and topped with our cilantro lime sauce and sour cream.
- Arroz con Pollo : Strips of tender chicken breast over a bed of Mexican rice, refried beans, covered with chile con queso.
- Chicken Fajita Burrito : Grilled chicken, refried beans, grilled onions & green peppers, smothered in our chile con queso.
- Kid’s Corn Dogs and French Fries
We all liked what we had ordered and there was plenty of sharing around the table. One of the best things we agreed on was the Mexican rice and the sweet corn masa!
There’s even a Gluten-Free menu for those that want it!
There are definitely a bunch of options for food and drink, no matter whether you want chicken, beef, vegetarian, tacos, burritos, you name it. And the drink menu is pretty extensive if you wanted a grown up drink with your meal.

This looks like a good place to eat. I will have to try it sometime when I am in the area.
