November BlogHer Writing Challenge Day 12
Tuesday, November 18 ~ writing prompt:
Tell us about one time that you benefitted from the kindness of strangers.
The most memorable act of kindness from strangers for me would have to be when I was recovering from major surgery and was down for almost eight weeks. During this time, my family was blessed with meals and daily visits from my MOPS group. Every Monday through Friday for eight weeks someone would show up with dinner and a little treat for the family.
It still tears me up to think about the love and caring ladies in the MOPS (Mother’s of Pre Schoolers) group not only because of their commitment to reach out and show love for other ladies, but because I had only been in the group for less than a month as a teacher. I didn’t have preschoolers at home. I had been asked to speak at a couple of meetings and to help lead a few classes.
My family still talks about the MOPS ladies every time we prepared a meal for a friend in need.
Today’s post is Day 12 of a month long group blogger challenge. If you missed any of the previous challenges, you can catch up HERE.
