Oh Ship!: Tales of a Cruising Chick and Other Travel Adventures
While I haven’t been cruising in years, I could easily be talked into it again if I could get Lori to go with me! The way she looks at life and makes fun of things..would make for an amazing vacation. In her latest book, “Oh Ship!: Tales of a Cruising Chick and Other Travel Adventures” she continues the laughs with stories about her adventures on and off the sea.
This book is made up of silly travel stories. Things that I thought only happened to my crew when we were on the road. You know, Murphy’s law – Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. However, keeping things in perspective and being able to laugh makes these experiences so much easier to handle. Another thing I liked were the hints for traveling that were listed at the end on each chapter. She mentions things you may not think of but could be very beneficial to your enjoyment of your travels.
[Tweet “Travel tales of the unusual, funny, and sometimes downright strange. – Oh Ship! https://bit.ly/1NncED3 #humor #book #travel #cruising “]From the book:
Ship happens. Cruises can be quite the adventure within an adventure if you keep your eyes open and watch the little dramas that are going on among the several thousand passengers and crew members aboard the ship. Reading author Lori A. Moore’s true tales of things that happen on the high seas will have you saying, “Oh Ship!” From stories of passengers pepper-spraying other passengers to grown men fighting over glass figurines of penguins, you’ll laugh until your ribs hurt.
I found the book to be a quick read; almost too quick! I was left wanting more. This book is only 134 pages and about 5×7 inches so it will slip in your bag easily. The biggest problem I had, was trying to NOT burst out laughing out loud! I choked, I coughed and I laughed myself silly while reading this book.

Thank you for the introduction to this book. It sounds like it will be a very funny and enjoyable read. I especially enjoy reading short stories as it is much easier to pick back up and start a new story rather than trying to remember where you left off.

This was a great review–you not only told us about the book’s strengths and its personality, your own personality came shining through. I love to read a book review that feels like a recommendation from a friend, and yours is exactly that. Thanks for sharing “Oh, Ship!” with us!
