It is lightweight and the knives/forks will bend if not handled properly. However, the clock works great and keeps accurate time once set.
The clock runs on a single AA battery that just slips inside the casing on the back of the clock. No tools needed. It runs quietly with only a slight ticking sound of the hands advancing. This is only heard if you are standing next to it and listening for it. Otherwise, it just runs in the background.
Certainly a conversation starter! I don’t think anyone that has walked into my house has not stopped and looked at the clock.
