On the Night You Were Born {Book Review}
Do you have certain gifts you like to give to new parents or very young children? On the Night You Were Born, by Nancy Tillman, is one of my “go to” gifts I like to give at a baby shower or for a young child’s present.
On the night you were born, you brought wonder and magic to the world. The moon stayed up till morning. Polar bears danced.
Here is a book that celebrates the one and only ever you! Now available in its entirety in board book format, Nancy Tillman’s masterpiece is perfect for acknowledging the special people in our lives that they are loved.
This is a great little board book, meant for new parents or even a special young one in your life. The illustrations are beautiful, and they look like they are painted on each page. Plus, it’s filled with dancing animals like polar bears and giraffes, and gorgeous night time scenes to go along with the story/poem.
Personally, I like the Scripture verses, although I wouldn’t say it’s heavily religious or leaning towards one faith or another.
The kids seem to enjoy the small “activities” that we read to them, such as having them wiggle their toes in the middle of the book!
This makes a great baby shower gift, or for a first birthday party. And as they get older, they may also like being able to read it themselves, especially if it was a favorite book in the home.
You can purchase a copy of On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman today at Amazon; there are several different formats available to choose from, depending on your preference.
Is there a favorite book your children enjoyed when they were young?
