Packbasket Grocer Review
Do you have a collection of disposable bags from the store? I even have a bag holder for my bags! I tried to use the recycle bags from the grocery store but they either are not large enough or they don’t hold up well.
I received a Packbasket Grocer to use and offer my review on from ADK Packworks. This is a new company to me, but one that I will be supporting in the future. Their product is a shopping bag, back pack and grocery cart all rolled into one unit.
Product Information:
My Grocer is Red. It has adjustable straps that allow it to be used as a Tote, Over the Shoulder or as a Backpack. This is just too cool! I like to wear it over my shoulder so my hands are still free. It folds flat for easy storage and the best part for me is that you can remove the rack and wash the cover! No more having to deal with nasty, sticky recycle bags for me.
Optional items for your Grocer are a topper and a cooler liner. Both would be nice additions, but I seem to have a habit of stuffing mine with items so that a top or cooler liner would not be helpful. If you were using it as a way to transport frozen or cooler items, both would be great to keep things chilled until you got home.
Here is a video that describes the Packbasket Grocer:
I keep mine in my office and drop items in it until I leave to run errands. It might be dry cleaning, packages or library books. As I run my errands I can easily keep up with not only what I still need to get done but have a place for the items picked up on my way around town. I love that it will stand up alone and that it holds a ton of stuff.
At the grocery store, I use it as my cart when I am making a quick trip. I did get stopped once and asked about it. Apparently the store security thought I was stuffing items into my backpack and they were worried I was going to try to leave the store! Oh My! First they were curious, and then they thought it was a great little bag. My friend thought it was hilarious – me – not so much!
If I had a set of 6 I would bag my groceries by where they are stored at home. This would really help me with getting the girls to put things away. I would label one for the freezer, fridge, pantry, laundry, bathrooms and cleaning cabinet. Yep, that would help because I would only have to put up the first two bags and the rest could wait until the girls were home. I think I will be adding a 5 pack of these to my wish list for Christmas!
So whether you are trying to reduce your waste or just looking for a better way to handle your stuff while shopping; this is a great little bag.
