Pear Tree Inn by Drury {Review}
On our recent trip to Branson, we split up the ten hour drive and decided to spend the night in Sikeston, Missouri. We stayed at the Pear Tree Inn by Drury Hotels.
Pear Tree Inn by Drury {Review}
This location is one of three properties by Drury all located on the same corner. Honestly, I was a little uncertain when we pulled in to park. I thought we were staying at the Drury and was comfortable with that chain as we like to stop at them when traveling. My husband stays at the Pear Tree Inn and had made the arrangements for us.
Boy was I wrong to be concerned! This location was by far the best maintained hotel that I have visited in a long time. It wasn’t new, some of the fixtures were dated but that didn’t matter at all. Everything, and I mean everything was spotless!
Our room was huge. A massive king size bed was so comfortable. I loved having extra pillows to use to prop up with while watching the television. There was a nice size desk with a back supporting office chair. Great place for me to catch up on my paper work for the trip. My husband enjoyed the overstuffed chair and ottoman while reading his news sites.
Drury is known for its evening receptions and this location did not lack for snacks, goodies and beverages. Each of us received a ticket for two alcohol beverages which we shared with a group of guests that were visiting in the dining area.
What I liked about this location was that of course it was clean. But it also felt comfortable. Guests were greeted by name which leads me to believe that many stay there often while traveling. Several of the guests seemed to know each other as well. It was nice to see people greet each other and ask about their work and families. I think this says a lot for the staff and the management.
The staff were friendly and helpful, always a smile and eye contact when interacting with a guest.
Breakfast is included when staying at any Drury property. This location had a large breakfast set up. It included items like bagels, breads, muffins, and waffles not to mention eggs, bacon, sausage and fruits. Juices, coffee, milk and cereals were also available.
This location also has a large indoor pool and fitness center. Both were clean and quite nice.
I would recommend staying at the Pear Tree Inn by Drury when traveling. You will usually not find them in the same parking lot but both are great places to rest up and recharge while traveling.
You can connect with them on Facebook and Twitter in order to receive their promotions and special announcements.
