It’s hard to visit the coast and not have a ton of options for seafood, right? And Panama City Beach, Florida, we decided to check out Pompano Joe’s Seafood House for dinner one night. It’s located at a neat outdoor shopping center just off of Front Beach Road.

If your in Destin or Panama City Beach, Pompano Joe’s Seafood House is a destination you must visit.   Known for its fresh affordable Gulf seafood prepared with a Caribbean flavor, Pompano Joe’s is not your typical seafood restaurant.  We’re a neighborhood beach place where you can “savor the flavor” of the Islands!

GULF SEAFOOD… IT’S OUR SPECIALTY

Pompano Joe’s takes tremendous pride in serving Gulf seafood to its guests.  If it lives in the Gulf, you will most likely find it on our menu.  Our seafood is delivered daily and it is handled with great care from the minute it arrives at our door to the time it arrives at your table.  Our standards are high and it shows in the presentation and flavor of every seafood dish we serve.

First off, I love the casual, beach atmosphere we found here. The colors, the open windows, and the fact we were eating delicious seafood within a quick stroll to the water it came from all made for a fun dining experience.

Being a family with mixed ages of hungry folks, our dish selections definitely were all over the place! We had a platter of oysters for an appetizer, crab stuffed Mahi Mahi, Jerk style chicken, fried shrimp, crab cakes, you name it! Plus there were plenty of side dishes to choose from like pineapple slaw, black beans & rice, hushpuppies, fries and more.

If you’re visiting at lunch time, they do have a special menu available where you can get a good, filling meal for a decent price. The full menu is available for dinner, including an extensive bar menu and of course, you should always find out about the daily specials too!

I like the kids menu options as it wasn’t just seafood for those picky eaters, plus they came with fries or fruit and a drink for a single price.

And if you’re eating gluten-free, they do have a special menu list of GF items; however, our server also suggested speaking with the manager before you order, and they can help make sure your meal(s) are prepared with special attention, especially if they are busy.

You can’t forget dessert, especially the key lime pie, their selection of cheesecakes, and the chocolate cake. Personally, I’d pick one or two and then share them with the table because they are sweet and you’re probably going to be full.
