Portable Laptop Cooling Pad
If you have ever used a laptop, you know that they get pretty warm especially if you are using them on your lap. Overheating is a main cause for hardware failing and one that can be prevented with a simple cooling pad like this one from Cuccot.
Several of our laptops seem to run hot and at times even smell like they might be overheating. Not wanting to have to think about replacing them anytime soon, we agreed to give a laptop cooling pad a test run. Boy..do they make a real difference.
First off, the whole cooling pad is made of a metal mesh that allows for maximum airflow. It makes it easier for the two oversize fans to disperse the heat created by the laptop away from the laptop itself.
Secondly, it also allows more room for cool air to be sucked from underneath the cooling pad. Even if the cooling pad isn’t on the mesh allows for the heat that is normally stuck under the laptop on a flat surface to still have somewhere to go.
Another plus is that it creates a sturdy and comfortable work area for laptops of various sizes up to 17 inches. The feet on the bottom of the cooling pad give you the option of two different height settings to make you the most comfortable while you work.
I like that this cooling pad is small enough to be slipped in my laptop bag. There is no power adapter needed for this either! Simply plug in the USB cord to your computer and the cooling pad and you are good to go.
If your laptop only has one USB port no need to worry, the pad itself comes with an extra USB spot to plug in any other USB device. No more needing to chose between the cooling pad and your other devices that need to be plugged in.
The unit has a blue LED light to indicate when the power is on. Helpful when you are as forgetful as I am when it comes to turning devices off.
Overall, I have enjoyed this cooling pad and think that it is a nice addition to our electronic setup. Fingers crossed that these cooling fans extend the life of our laptops!
Pick up a cooling pad for your laptop today. They would also be a nice gift for your crew that are always on their laptops.
