Product Review – SUPPORi Baby Sling

Are you a baby wearer?  Have you thought about it but aren’t sure which product to use? I know there is a long list of different types of baby carriers and slings but I recently tried and recommend the SUPPORi!

The SUPPORi is an award winning baby sling designed to safely and securely keep baby close to your body, allowing you the relative freedom to take care of things with baby in tow. It relieves common baby carrying injuries if worn as directed because baby’s weight is not concentrated on the shoulder bone. It is permeable and can be worn year round without fear of heat rashes.

Please note that the SUPPORi sling is not intended for newborns.  A baby needs to be able to sit up unassisted before using this sling.

So … why do I recommend SUPPORi?  Having carried babies and now granbabies around I understand the burden on our arms, backs and shoulders. And while most slings and carriers do the job, they are often HARD to use AND HOT to wear! The SUPPORi is very simple to use ~ baby just sits in the sling (remember baby needs to be able to sit up by themselves before using this product).  I really like that the sling only weighs 2.8 oz and folds up to easily fit into your diaper bag, purse or coat pocket!

Getting into the sling couldn’t be easier:

STEP ONE:
Place your SUPPORi across your body. Widen the strap across your shoulder and ensure a comfortable fit. Placing your SUPPORi across your shoulder will alleviate shoulder stiffness and other baby wearing injuries.

STEP TWO:
Place your baby inside the sling. Baby’s legs should be hanging outside the sling.

STEP THREE:
Widen your SUPPORi to ensure the baby’s bottom, hips and back are fully covered. Support your baby with your hand.

The SUPPORi is made of a triple stitched, knitted yarn. It does not retain heat and very useful during hot summer months. The high tenancy yarn is a special type of polyester. This specific yarn is so durable, that it is also used in motor vehicle parts.
