Really Garlicky Salmon
We love garlic in my house. In fact, we joke about it being one of our main house seasonings (salt, pepper & garlic) on almost every dish we cook! One of our favorite & basic ways we put it to use is with our recipe for really garlicky salmon.
Ingredients:
2-4 cloves garlic, finely minced (or 2 teaspoons of jarred)
3 teaspoons lemon pepper
4 salmon fillets (4 to 6 ounces each)
1 lemon cut into wedges
Directions:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter.
Stir in garlic and cook for several minutes until soft but not brown.
Sprinkle salmon fillets on both sides with salt and lemon pepper seasoning.
Place fish in pan and leave it alone for about 4 minutes, then gently flip and cook other side about 4 to 5 minutes. The rule of thumb is 10 minutes total for each inch of thickness in fish. Fish is done when it will flake/pull apart easily when tested with a fork.
Serve with lemon wedges and a little olive oil to drizzle as desired.
My crew loves this salmon served over rice or with roasted root vegetables. Salmon is super good for you and it tastes great! It can be grilled, baked, boiled, or broiled. It really is an easy piece of protein to use.
If you use garlic, do you prefer fresh or dried?
