I recently had the opportunity to sample several different organic products for the first time. I want to share a little product information about these products so you can determine if you want to use them as well; Organic Soap Nuts, a Safix Scrub Pad and a Soap Nuts Bath Bar – all from Greener Living.
When I first heard about soap nuts as an organic laundry detergent, I was a little skeptical. Soap nuts? What are soap nuts? Do they really work? When I received them in the mail I was surprised that they smelled like soap (I know) but I was still a little iffy about using them in my new washing machine. They certainly didn’t look like anything I had ever seen that belonged in a washing machine.
However, I still wanted to give the soap nuts a chance. Several washes later I have to admit that I am impressed. They did what they claim, although I still don’t know the how or why..but they work. I have a front load HE machine and I was thankful that they did not suds up too much for my machine.
The Safix Scrub Pad is different. I like that it is biodegradable but was surprised that it is made from a coconut. I didn’t know coconuts could be used for washing dishes but I am happy that I learned something new. I even tried this on my non-stick skillet – no scratches! This pad claims to last about a month – impressive. I also noticed I could use less detergent which is also a bonus.
The bath/hand bar soap has 5 ingredients and those ingredients make your skin feel wonderful! It lathers nicely and rinses easily. I love that it is a natural product and still makes my skin feel and smell great.
What do you think about these natural products? Would you like to give a Soap Nuts Organic Laundry Detergent Sample Pack a try for yourself? I will be posting a giveaway in the next couple of days. I hope you will enter and win your own set of products.
In the meantime, you can find out more on their website Greener Living – Facebook – Twitter and Youtube.

I have heard of these, but I’m skeptical they work as well as laundry soap. I like that they save money and are better for the envirionment.

I had never heard of soap nuts before but the premise wounds interesting. I am not sure whether I would use them in my machine but I am interested in the soap pad and that you had good results in your non-stick cookware.

I was pretty sceptical about these too, but recently won a sample pack and they worked great. Would be perfect for when travel too to take to peoples houses that have detergent can’t use with our allergies!
