Review: Stuffitts Antimicrobial Drying Insert – For Helmets

Have you smelled your helmet lately? My children are avid skiers and we are in a large group that skis at least once a week (or more) during ski season. Several of the children wear helmets while skiing and a common complaint is that THEY STINK!!

Have you found anything that removes the stank from your helmet? Short of purchasing a new one, I have yet to find anything that does more than coverup the nasty smell…until now…

 

I recently received a No More Stinky Helmets – Stuffitts Antimicrobial Drying Insert to try. Wow! The first thing I noticed was the cedar smell of the insert. The insert was molded to fit inside the contours of the helmet versus a sack bag style that is just shoved inside. This insert fit inside the helmet perfectly, making contact where most needed.

The best part? How fast the moisture (nice word for nasty sweat) and smell are removed! Just overnight the helmet is completely dry and smells well… cedary – which is a thousand times better than what it did the night before. I would bet if placed in a new helmet and used regularly, the life of helmet would be extended.
