As you may know, this is the last tour for the famous elephants. They are definitely the favorite part for many of us, especially those that grew up attending the circus! I was thrilled that I could see them preform like this one last time. Plus, they had several of the trainers/handlers with the animals that explained the new retirement program, conservation plans, and unique facts about elephants. For example, most elephants only sleep about 6 hours a night, and they sleep laying down on their side. Plus they get up several times a night to eat and drink!
But of course, they also had their tiger show with the trainer Tabayara Maluenda, who loves to play and show off his 10 tigers with the crowd. Seriously, it was like watching someone with house cats; we all kept waiting for them to pounce but it was like they were playing with him right back!
The camels were terrific this year, with Robert Stipka & The Desert Goddesses. It was amazing to watch these dazzling ladies do tricks, dances, and other exciting moves that I won’t spoil for you. Plus they have beautiful costumes that add to their graceful movements, riding these fun and exciting camels.
Still not enough? How about the aerialists that performed in black light with glow in the dark paint, high above the arena floor?
Or the mermaids and Sirens of the Sea who swing, twirl, and do amazing acrobats way above our heads, all while smiling and looking so graceful?
Then there’s always the BMX tricks, trampoline performers, and the 16,000 pound Wheel of Steel!
Each one of these acts are incredible, high energy, and different from the last.
And don’t forget the awesome clowns, that are around from beginning to the end, especially Alex & Irina, as they lead the charge of fun!
So why wait? Don’t miss this wonderful family event, especially the chance to see the Asian elephants for the last time.

I would visit a circus if it had no trained animals in it.
