Ripley’s Mirror Maze {Review}
When we’re visiting Gatlinburg, TN, my crew is always up for an adventure with the different Ripley’s attractions! Whether we hit all of them or just a few, we could spend all day going to their various spots. This year, we checked out Ripley’s Mirror Maze for the first time and it has definitely made the “must go back to” list!
Hey! Who’s that good looking person in the mirror? That’s you! You’ll come face-to-face with your cute mug over and over as you attempt to find your way out of our labyrinth of mirrors and LED lights. Don’t worry, we send search parties every half hour.
Bring the family for a day trip, or stay all weekend.
So they are located right in the middle of everything on the strip in Gatlinburg. Quick way to spot it if you aren’t sure? Look for the candy store that is part of the entrance (more about that in another post)!
I found this to be more family friendly than your traditional horror themed mirror maze. You can purchase a set of 3D glasses, but you don’t have to. They ask you to wear “lunch lady” gloves to keep down the fingerprints and then you’re on your way!
It has dim lighting from the floor, but I didn’t think it was too dark.
You start finding your way through the maze, but don’t be in a hurry! It’s not fun to knock your head or trip because you just knew you were heading the right way LOL! There are doors, plenty of corners and even a rotating mirror door that you push and somehow decide when you want to exit the path.
In the middle is an awesome room filled with mirrors, disco lights and a bunch of music! The kids decided we all needed a room like that in each of our houses for parties. This is a wide open room so no worries about running into your reflection here.
Hopefully you find your way out to the exit, which is comes out just a few feet from where you entered the mirror maze. And you’re back in the candy store again, a great treat for a fun adventure with your group.
Tips:
- Keep one hand in front of you and one out to either side. This helps not only keep you from bumping a mirror but you can use the reflection to tell which way doesn’t have another mirror!
- If you have little ones with you, remind them not to run!
- Take your time and have fun with your group; or agree to meet in the halfway point to dance with the disco lights!
The Ripley’s Mirror Maze is open 365 days a year, but the hours vary depending on the season so check before you go.
Be sure to visit Ripley’s Mirror Maze when you’re in Gatlinburg, TN, on your next trip. You can purchase your tickets online and even save with this $3 off the all inclusive Ripley’s attraction ticket!
Disclosure: I was given free tickets in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to Ripley’s for the visit and we can’t wait to come back!

What a fun activity. We have been looking for something different for our Harley group to do. It is also not out of our price range.

This sounds like fun! I used to love the older ones you would always find at the state fairs, but this one sounds more modern and exciting. If it’s made by Ripley’s, it’s got to be!
