Seaside Harmony {Postcards from Misty Harbor Inn Series}
Seaside Harmony was an easy, relaxed read. I enjoyed the setting for the story and the relationship of the sisters. Toss in just a little mystery and an adventure…what a great way to spend an afternoon!
Book Description:
Caroline Marris has always loved Nantucket. Childhood vacations with her parents and two sisters left her with cherished memories and a longing to return. When she agrees to vacation there with her sisters, Gracie Gold and Sam Carter, as a way to reconnect and honor their late mother, Caroline has no idea how this holiday will change her life. The sisters stumble upon Misty Harbor Inn, the place their mom loved so much, where she took them for tea when they were young.
They are shocked to see it abandoned and for sale. Caroline talks her sisters into buying the beautiful but dilapidated inn, and they begin the daunting process of renovation. But can free-spirited Caroline remain focused enough to make opening the inn a reality? And when the sisters find a cache of puzzling hand-drawn postcards that depict local landmarks, they discover the mystery of Hannah Montague, the young widow of the original owner, who disappeared in 1880. Can the postcards help them uncover the fate of this woman, who loved the house as much as they do?
As Caroline and her sisters work together to make their dream a reality, they find themselves bonding in ways they never expected. You’ll delight in the inviting setting and be enthralled by the adventures of these three very different sisters who reunite to bring their mother’s Misty Harbor dreams to life.
This series is continued on the with book two is Sunflower Summer and book three is Whispers on the Dock.
This book series is available on Amazon in both paperback and kindle versions.
Don’t have a Kindle? Grab one for yourself. They are so nice to use for reading. I love my Kindle Fire and my little one uses the e-Reader version (just for reading without the added games and internet options).
About the Author:
Evangeline Kelley is the pen name for the writing team of Patti Berg, Pam Hanson & Barbara Andrews, and Camy Tang, the four authors who collaborated to create Postcards from Misty Harbor Inn. Each of them has published novels individually, but this is their first series together.
I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it as it is touching and the story line is so honest. Having dealt with a loss of parent and having to work with my own sisters to salvage something that was important to them; I understand the struggles the sister group in this series are dealing with themselves.
