Seasonal Decorating Made Easy
When we moved to Kentucky after living in Florida since I was a child, I thought it was so strange to see holiday decorations going up around Halloween. Well, the first winter that we had a house to decorate I learned why.
Half the time it is snowing on Halloween and by Thanksgiving the ski slopes are open and unless you are going to hang the lights yourself (meaning me)….it needs to be done before the below freezing temps settle in.
So not only has my seasonal decorating changed since moving north, I admit that I often roll the seasons together. My fall decorations work for Halloween and Thanksgiving with just a few tweaks and changes. Some of them will even roll into the Christmas/Winter season. Except the lights. I gave up on getting lights up on the roof and second story years ago.
My crew are willing to put lights on the porch railings and around the garage door. And if they are solar powered, I can get them to stick them in the ground to mark the sidewalk too. But forget getting them on the roof or second story.
Well guess what? I solved that problem and can’t wait until they come over and see my “solution” to their “not wanting to die” so I can have light concern.
TADA… Laser Lights! Thanks to Starry Laser Lights I now will have lights all over my house. They sent one of their light kits to me and asked me to give it run. Yay!
These projector lights are waterproof and just too easy to set up. They are available in three (3) color combinations – Green & Blue, Red & Blue, and Red & Green.
The laser lights can cover up to 3900 square feet from a distance of 25 feet. The lights do not move but I have to tell you that it works for me. I received the green & blue lights, but I will be ordering the Red & Green one to add to my collection.
