Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player
Having a large family means we use A LOT of anything and everything. This also includes technology and devices that use data. By the time we put together a package that keeps us all connected, the cost is pretty impressive too! We've learned that it doesn’t have to be when we use the Google Chromecast. This device allows for us to get the most out of the apps and entertainment already on our phones.

Google Chromecast Streaming Media
Our family uses a ton of resources between homeschooling and blogging. At last count, we had 22 devices that all needed to connect up to our system. Yep.. that requires a lot of juice.
Using the Google Chromecast Streaming Media Device has allowed us to be smart when using technology to meet our needs. This device just plugs directly into the HDMI port of your television. You don't even need to have a smart television, just need one that has an HDMI port available and you are all set.
Stream All Your Favorite Apps and Shows
Set up is easy. Just plug the Google Chromecast in and then connect it to your WI-FI. Chromecast is designed to make the most of the apps and entertainment already on your phone. Shows, movies, live TV, YouTube, photos and more. It’s all just a tap away from all of your family’s devices.
Enjoy TV shows, movies, videos, songs, games, sports and more from over 2000 apps like Netflix, YouTube, YouTube TV, and HBO NOW. Learn more about this device here.¹
Using Google Chromecast for Homeschooling
We are learning about all the possible ways to use the Google Chromecast in our homeschool. Being able to stream some of our online lesson tutorials as well as other media sources frees up other devices so another child can work on their lessons.
Google Chromecast and Google Home Connection
By combining the Chromecast with our Google Home unit, we are able to take advantage of the voice prompts which saves me time while setting up lessons or looking for something to entertain the children.
It's so nice to just say what you want to watch from compatible apps and control your TV hands-free, with Chromecast and Google Home working seamlessly together.² Just say, “Ok Google, play StoryBots or LeapFrog Math from Netflix on the living room TV.” ¹
So whether you are looking for a way to enjoy your entertainment time, or as a tool in your homeschool, the Google Chromecast makes staying connected simple and easy.
