See’s Candies {Review}
Who doesn’t love chocolate? Or creams? Or toffees? Or or or…I could go on for hours when I tell someone about my visit to the new See’s Candies location in the Kenwood Towne Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. We got to visit their store during a preview event before they officially opened! Here’s what the night was like.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the manager, John, who let us gather and stare in awe (some of us at least) as the event got underway. We were given nametags and a brief introduction to the history of See’s Candies.
For over 90 years See’s Candies has been dedicated to making candy Mary See’s way. Only the finest, freshest ingredients are used in making each recipe. We add no preservatives to our candy. It’s quality you can taste in every piece. American made, famous for deliciousness, with the friendliest customer service – since 1921.
Today, you can choose from over 100 different candies and chocolates, whether you are shopping with us online or visiting one of our iconic black-and-white checkered shops (where every visitor still gets to try a piece, it’s our treat).
Founded and headquartered in sunny California, See’s Candies has expanded from one candy shop to over 200 shops across America, and a flourishing online store. Our growth happily continues. Our commitment to taste, quality, tradition and service steadfastly remains.
Mary would be proud.
I loved the black and white design they used in the store. I imagine it makes it very easy to decorate around, not to mention it’s an honor to the founder’s original kitchen.
The fun quickly got underway as we were treated to samples of anything and everything! We could try their milk chocolates, dark chocolates, truffles or toffees, anything they had in the store. Oh my, so many choices that you didn’t want to miss anything but it’s such a high quality chocolate that you don’t want to overdo it either!
We competed in a friendly “stuffing” competition like the old I Love Lucy show, boxing up as many chocolates as we could using only one hand for the wrappers and the other to place the chocolates. It was so much fun, watching grown folks giggling and competing against each other and the clock. Plus, we got to keep the boxes we stuffed.
If you visit your local store, you can try a piece on the house (what a great marketing idea) and if you don’t have a local store, you can shop online at the See’s Candies website. They have seasonal items, best sellers available all the time, plus custom boxes and business gifts. Even sugar free candies!
We are definitely going back, and taking advantage of their online shipping process for those out of town friends and families, especially when the holidays roll around.
Have you been to See’s Candies? Let me know what you thought of your visit!
Disclaimer: I did receive a free visit and products in exchange for an honest review (seriously though, LOVED it).
