Does your child need help with his or her handwriting? Or maybe an older child is struggling with learning cursive? Perhaps you're a teacher and want more options that you can “make your own” for your kids? Well, let me tell you about Startwrite, where you can “create customized handwriting practice sheets” for your child.

Startwrite is the easiest way to create customized handwriting practice sheets for your student. Just Type it, Print it and Practice! It’s that easy!
Startwrite 6.0 is bilingual. Spanish fonts make it easy for Spanish-speaking students to practice writing in their own language, and for English-speaking children to learn Spanish

So in the last few months, I've started working on some pre-school activities with my 4 year old son. Some things he is a wiz at, and others, we really struggle. I have never worried too much because of his age and because we are just getting started. But a part that is important to me is learning to read and write at an early age. I don't mean writing a biography or anything, but at least the basics.

His name, our address, top 10 sight words, etc. And just sitting down and writing them after my “example” doesn't always do the trick. And the workbooks you can buy are great, but he can get bored quick (especially being a boy and now we're going into spring and summer).

Here's where Startwrite.com has become a part of our daily lesson plan. I can log into the software, quickly make up however many worksheets I need for the day depending on what we're going to work on and print them out! Most days it only takes me 5 minutes or less to get a couple ready to go. I have a few that I've laminated because we do them over and over, like his name and some of our sight words.

I love that I can mix and match the fonts and features. We use the “start dot” and “letter outline” most often at this age, but as he gets older, I can also introduce outlined shapes, cursive, and even introduce math and money elements!!

The best part about this software is you can download a free trial by going to their website, StartWrite.com . (Only available for Windows users at this time)

Why not give them a chance to help you create exactly what you need for each child you are teaching? Plus, their website also lists all kinds of ideas and suggestions if you just want something “different” for the day or week.

Find them on Twitter and Facebook!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above to use in this review from Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Oh I definitely need to look into this. My oldest has horrible handwriting – we often joke she must be destined to be a Doctor because I can hardly read it, lol. Thanks for sharing!

In will definitely check this out as my son could use some
Handwriting help as he enters kindergarten. Start write seems like a great option for us.
