Sweetie Song Fetal Doppler {Review}
We have new babies on the way at our house! I can remember listening to the heartbeat each month at the doctor’s office and just feeling a sense of peace come over me. Short of having the ultra sound, this monthly visit was my main connection and comfort that everything was ok. Yeah..I was one of those worry mommas!
Fast forward to the products available today..and wow, just wow – is how I feel when I go to prenatal appointments with my grown children.
One of these products is the Sweetie Song Fetal Doppler. For less than $50 you can have the comfort of being able to listen to your unborn child’s heartbeat anytime you want or need the comfort. I can understand both sides of the room with this product. Having been through the trauma of being told they can’t locate a heartbeat during a routine office visit more than once, I understand the resistance you might get from your doctor for wanting one of these units at home. On the other side of the room…I just want to know. I’ve always just wanted to know..good or bad.
For me, I would have used one of these if nothing than to reassure myself that my darkest fears were not replaying out again. And, if we were walking this path again..that there was nothing I could do about it. That said, please do not panic at the times you will not be able to locate the heartbeat with this doppler, especially early in your pregnancy. This can be based on several factors including that the baby is..well… SMALL and the machine is not all that powerful. As your pregnancy progresses, it will be easier to locate the heartbeat.
Of course since the majority of times there are no problems during the routine development, this doppler can sure make a momma smile. Even the little ones ask to listen to the baby.
Beth is enjoying listening to the heartbeat and her little one loves to snuggle and talk to the baby on the way. She is chanting “Think Pink” for this round!
Beth @ 14 weeks
Meaghan was expecting her third child and first boy. She appreciated being able to listen in and monitor baby as the days got closer.

The Sweetie Song Doppler can help you to listen and even record your unborn child’s heartbeats, kicks, and hiccups from the comfort of your home! This fetal doppler can be used from as early as 12 weeks into the pregnancy!
The unit has a large backlit LCD display and a built-in speaker with volume control. The monitoring settings include 3 modes to see the fetal heartrate (FHR): real-time display, averaged FHR display, and a manual display that shows the past 8 heartbeats
