Technology and Safety:
Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmets and More
Technology is getting a bad reputation lately when it comes to being on the road. People are getting into car accidents while talking on the phone or texting. In general, it is a distraction to look at a little screen when you’re in a moving vehicle. Fortunately, you can now be safe and use the communication methods that are available due to wireless technology. Read on for more information about how wireless technology can help you in the car or on the road with a Bluetooth motorcycle helmet.
Just Drive
With so many voice-activated devices now, it is almost unnecessary to use your hands to operate your phone. You can purchase a wireless device that sits on your sun visor and syncs with your phone. Many of these will allow you to make outgoing calls or to answer incoming calls without looking at your phone. You may be fortunate enough to have a newer model of a car with voice-activation built into it. This is great because you can hear the person you’re talking to through all the car’s speakers. Answering and making calls has never been safer or easier.
Be Active
You can also talk to people while you’re doing active things like skiing or cycling. If you are in a large group of individuals, or you can’t have regular conversations because of your bulky helmet, you can use wireless technology to help. These technologies allow you to listen to music or talk to others without you having to push anything. This is especially helpful while snowmobiling or skiing because you don’t want to take your gloves off and on to answer the phone or to make a call. Look for a temperature-resistant device.
Ride On
One of the most dangerous forms of transportation is riding a motorcycle. Even if you are careful, other drivers may not be. If you previously thought it was impossible to comfortably and safely listen to music or take calls on a motorcycle, it’s your lucky day. A Bluetooth motorcycle helmet can allow you to talk to another rider in your group up to one-third of a mile away. You can also make regular phone calls or listen to music without your hands. Some come with noise-suppression features to quiet your engine or road sounds. This is an excellent way to stay safe and still communicate.

It’s great that they have now adapted motorcycle helmets with blue tooth. I guess it was just a matter of time. Its better not to talk and drive (too distracting) but if you are going to – having the right hands free device is a must.
