The Adventures of Pajama Girl {Book Review}
Do you read to your kids at bedtime? Or maybe when it's “quiet time” during the afternoon? I did while my kids were little, and now I read to my grandkids when they are here visiting. While we love a few classics, I also like to switch it up and the book The Adventures of Pajama Girl was an instant hit!
A cute, illustrated story about a girl’s imagination and her magical pajamas. In this adventure, Ellie’s cupcake pajamas pave the way for she and her Sis to take a journey to a land filled with all kinds of sweet treats. Their journey quickly turns into an adventure to help the Cupcake Queen find the missing sprinkles needed for her coronation ceremony. In searching for the missing sprinkles, Ellie and Sis uncover a life lesson that is important for every child to learn.
This is a sweet book about two sisters who take a trip in the dream world to a delicious cake and candy world, thanks to Ellie's cupcake pajamas! Not only is it filled with cute, colorful and kid-friendly illustrations, the story also helps kids learn a few important lessons. They learn about jealousy and being kind to other people for example.
While the main characters are little girls, my grandsons didn't mind one bit. It's a book about candy, cakes, and sweets, how can that be wrong?
Not only did we read the book, but we were also able to talk about the lessons they had learned from the story and then they take turns making up their own stories based on their outfit or pajamas they are wearing! We've had so many laughs thanks to this book and it also reinforces how we pray at bedtime, just like the girls do in the story.
You can learn more about the book at The Adventures of Pajama Girl website, plus once you purchase a copy, you're eligible to download 10 free Pajama Girl activity sheets! These are awesome worksheets to go along with the book, including coloring and connect the dots! These are wonderful for fun activities or even to work into your daily homeschool lesson plan if you're reading this book for school.
