The Circus of Legends {Review}
Have you been to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus? We were lucky enough to catch the Circus of Legends on opening night in Cincinnati at US Bank Arena. And to be honest, I’m not sure if the kids or the adults were more excited at the performers, animals, clowns and more!
Legends is an all-new edition that unites iconic circus stars with living mythological creatures in a celebration of the LEGENDS that have captured imaginations for centuries. Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson guides Paulo the Legend Seeker on his quest to discover real, living legends from around the world and presents Paulo’s fantastic discoveries to circus fans everywhere.”
“Experience epic family fun as legendary circus artists from around the globe perform awe-inspiring feats of daring, spectacles of strength and thrills of wonder to summon the mythical and the mysterious visions that have only existed in your imagination until now: the Unicorn, Pegasus and Woolly the Mammoth!”
First, the doors opened an hour before the show time and everyone was welcome down on the floor of the arena. They had a bounce/jump house for the kids, plus you could watch clowns and other performers up close as they did their routine. And we got to watch one of the elephants paint a picture! And of course we got a few autographs and had the kids try on a few costumes and check themselves out in the mirror.
But make sure you get to your seat for the show (which they announce in case you’re getting concessions or taking one more trip to the restroom) and get ready to be blown away right from the start.
There is definitely something for everyone, young and old, boy or girl. I think our family’s favorite is always the animals through the show, including the elephants, tigers, lions, and this year goats, pigs and dogs! Whether it’s doing funny tricks, playing with the clowns, or parading around with their costumes, the animals are always a welcome sight and will be talked about for weeks in my house.
But not to be forgotten of course are the motorcycle tricks in the Globe of Steel, the acrobats, the clowns, and the various other performers that delight the entire audience. You could literally feel the floor shaking from the excited feet and clapping hands. It was awesome to be a part of the Circus of Legends.
